• Make sure to never twist, turn, or play with your piercings. Not only is it completely unnecessary, you may give yourself the dreaded bump, or worse, infection.

• Take showers, not baths. Soaking your piercing in bath water can also lead to bumps or infection. Use a soap with no dyes or scents ( available at the shop if you need) and gently wash the area. Do not attempt to insert soap into the pierced site, simply wash the surrounding area. Carefully pat dry. 

• After a shower is a great time to remove excess crusty stuff with a clean q-tip if needed. Spray your aftercare directly on the site, both sides (excluding inside mouth!) and let dry. If your site is very sore or tender, try gently pressing  cotton balls soaked in aftercare on the site for 3-5 minutes for at least a month or until the issue is resolved.

• Make sure to spray your aftercare 3-5 times on the pierced site daily.

• Continue your care for at least 3-4 months or until fully healed. If your piercing is ever sore or harmed in the future, start treating with pre-made saline until healed again.

• Avoid drinking alcohol on the first day.

• Use an alcohol-free mouthwash at least 2 times a day.
